  From the time we mature, everyone has a Savior and the default savior of this world is satan.    God says the way to Heaven is narrow and few there are that find it. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus alone.   Some people try their best to be their own savior and earn Heaven. These are honest, sincere people who have been reading their Bibles from man’s perspective. Our personal goodness is just a deceitful detour. Well-meant, but actually blinding.   When you start your search for truth, listen to people like Charles Stanley and Dallas Willard, men with their eyes on God, not on cameras. You might check out the topic of Salvation on “got questions.Org”   When searching for Salvation, remember the better and more logical something sounds to the human consciousness, the more on guard we need to be. Be careful to whom you look for guidance. Listen for someone who emphasizes your relationship with God, with His Goodness only. ...

Our sin has separated us from God, and the consequence of sin is death ( Romans 6:23 ). Biblical salvation refers to our deliverance from the consequence of sin and therefore involves the removal of sin.    Salvation is a choice made by mature people. Some children have made this choice.  Most adults haven’t.  Ask, pray for God to show you what/how you need to prepare.  Be patient and do it right, with your eyes on God.  Always, always our eyes on God.
