Thought from God today: Grumbling and slothfulness are hats-off to satan. God made us to commune (be in a relationship) with Him while we take care of, and put to use, the gifts He gives us.

Truly Believe 6.2024 “Why are we here?” God created man for a relationship with Him. Romans 3:23 tells us ”All men have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” So, to have a relationship with God, there needs to be a way to forgive our sins and wipe our slate clean. Experiencing God
Experiencing God Introduction Video (youtube.com) They warn you this class may be life cha nging. The two most important facts I learned were: 1.. God created us to have a relationship with Him. I don't believe I had ever heard this. It was life changing. The most important thig we do is to be with Him, all day, every day. How could this not be life changing? 2. Look to see where God is working and Join Him, instead of “God, please bless my plan”. Set aside a bit of time daily to work on this so you don't drop off.
Still Loving
Today's entry reminded me of a principle God has shown me in the past. That is: Leave the other person in a frame of mind to thank and praise God, even if they're not yet saved. If that goal is in the back of our mind as we visit with others, it will help us keep our personal feelings in check and live in a protective mode, taking appropriate responsibility for the influence we have over others. Model and encourage "Love thy neighbor as thyself". I'm just learning how to let the Holy Spirit helps/does that for me. Again with the help of one of Andrew Murray's little books, this one: "Experiencing the Holy Spirit". His books take some getting used to because they're over a century old. June 24, 2024 God showed me the hate that still lingered when I repeated the verses about vengeance being His. I realized that was not my intent, I just wanted Lyng/Jean to stop harassing me, not punish her. What a feeling of calm that provided, no more hating her, just a feeling of peaceful observance. A possible end Then while reading my “Experiencing God” devotional by the Blackabys this morning, June 24, God reinforced His words with “Be Merciful.” Matthew 18:33 “Shouldn’t you also have mercy on your fellow slave, as I have had mercy on you?” I highlighted: …”but the merciful person does not demand justice for the guilty person.” In the past, I might have asked, “Father, please put the blame for that sin on me”. But I realized it has already been put on Christ and had already been taken care of. Likewise, this sin has already been taken care of.
