Whispers from the Holy Spirit

This is such an important part of God's purpose in our lives that I just have to repost it.  This is a basic minimum for any Christian dealing with the world, savwed and unsavd alike:   Today's entry reminded me of a principle God has shown me in the past.  That is:  Leave the other person in a frame of mind to thank and praise God, even if they're not yet saved.  If that goal is in the back of our mind as we visit with others, it will help us keep our personal feelings in check and live in a protective mode, taking appropriate responsibility for the influence we have over others.  Please let me know that ou agree.  

 Dallas Willard Quote:  (one of many, many)  Grace is not opposed to effort, it is opposed to earning. Earning is an attitude. Effort is an action. Grace, you know, does not just have to do with forgiveness of sins alone.  For me this goes hand in hand with disciplining ourselves.  

  There was a line in my daily devotional today that just jumped out at me: “If we discipline ourselves” This is a doable action instead of passively resigning ourselves to pathetic dormancy . Disciplining ourselves puts us in charge of our lives. I believe living this life under God’s wing is what God wants for each of His children. Can you think of a better way to put it?
