On the way home God showed me:

1-9-22 It’s Sunday morning and I don’t know what the temperature is; I’m in my car getting out and getting some sunshine.  A homeless man must be needy to be out here right now because the wind is wicked. He’s traveling light--it’s the ones that look like they have all their possessions with them that I take most seriously.  This guy has mittens, thank goodness because I bought some at Dollar Tree to give out but can’t reach them in the traffic.  Self-quarantined and waiting for my second test tomorrow, I’m attending church via facebook.  It’s shortly after 10 and the only service I can find is of 8 am. That’s fine, I can pause the service if I need to.  I have croissants from Burger King and coffee from McDonald’s so I’m set for a relaxing listen in the sunshine.  Thanks, Father.   Pastor Renee, Senior Pastor at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Shoreview Minnesota, is awesome with discipleship and she’s spot on today.  She make...

The light of the world

Today, I heard Dallas Willard define us Christians in God's world: " I am an unceasing spiritual being with an eternal destination in God's great universe ." He suggested we write on our mirrors in soap:  I am the light of th e world .   If we're not the light in the unique spot God has placed us, there will be no light.   ___________________________________ God created us, to have a relationship with Him. And He knew us before we were formed in the womb.  In Jeremiah 1:5 he told Jeremiah:   “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” ___________________________________ At times, when I'm feeling hesitant, this verse is so encouraging and empowering: John 4:35:   " Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes   the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields,   for they are already white for harves...
