A.Murray Abide in Me

It is for His glory that He has saved us.  It is from and through His son Jesus that we receive our power. 

 

Highlights from Abide in Me, Chapter Four, As the Branch in the Vine

-I (Jesus) am the Vine, ye (Believers) are the branches

-So close is the union between the vine and the branch, that each is nothing without the other.  That each is wholly and only for the other.

-The Believer can each day be pleasing to God only in that which he does through the power of Christ dwelling in him. 

-Without the branch, the vine can do nothing.  Without His disciples, He cannot dispense His blessing to the World

-The branch does not exist for itself, but to bear fruit that can proclaim the excellence of the vine:  it has no reason to exist except to be of service to the vine.

-Every power of his being, every moment of his life, every thought and feeling, belong to Jesus, that from Him and for Him he may bring forth fruit.

-It is for fruit, much fruit, that the father has made us one with Jesus.

God's Intended Life for Me

Slowly, consistently, gently, work toward producing a setting which can sustain the life that God intended for me.  Allow His true meaning (physical and emotional) for my life to thrive. Let Prayer and Gratitude survive.  Make them a centerpiece. Stop constantly and consciously surrounding myself with negative memories of my past.  Let God’s intended life for me take hold and grow. Positive , loving , God-Centered Peacefulness and Gentleness .  Let go of all the negative situations I surround myself with. Shun human standards. Meditate and pray, making choices about my actions beforehand to lessen the harshness of my autism. Look to other Christian women as examples. Always be aware of being under His gentle, loving wing. He is our Father and He truly loves us. Never forget, He made us for the purpose of having a relationship with Him.
