Odds and Ends

While it's interesting to share ideas from others, I have personal problems you might be struggling with, too.  Here are some random entries that might help.

God chooses us, (John 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day),  gives us the choice to join Him, and makes a plan for our lives.  If we choose to accept His free gift of Salvation based on Jesus' death on the cross we become His child, and our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life  When we are His, the Holy Spirit comes to live in us and be our guide. This continues for our time on earth. 

Listen for the Spirit speaking, don't set the stage and expect Him to join you. 

Cut the drama. Being addicted to chaos isn't pretty and might not be far off base.  Let God guide how you see and interact with the world.  

Let God be in charge! Pray about that often. It's so unnatural for us! 

Be personally invisible.  Remember we are representing God, not ourselves.  One of the most enjoyable times I've spent after Study was sitting quietly of to the side.  I was praying quietly with my head up and as Believers noticed me, a few came over and sat with me and we had quiet, gentle talks.  "Impersonal" and intimate at the same time.    Thank You, Father.  

Thanks for Your recent lessons, Father.  Quiet is so beautiful from the inside. 

 

Having your phone list out on the counter at home is a good idea.  The Spirit will prompt you to phone and help and encourage others.
