Still Loving

Today's entry reminded me of a principle God has shown me in the past.  That is:  Leave the other person in a frame of mind to thank and praise God, even if they're not yet saved.  If that goal is in the back of our mind as we visit with others, it will help us keep our personal feelings in check and live in a protective mode, taking appropriate responsibility for the influence we have over others.  Model and encourage "Love thy neighbor as thyself".  

 

I'm just learning how to let the Holy Spirit helps/does that for me.  Again with the help of one of Andrew Murray's little books, this one:  "Experiencing the Holy Spirit".  His books take some getting used to because they're over a century old.  


Canada has a number of audio versions available for free through the Canadian public domain on youtube.  ((6) andrew murray audiobooks - YouTube      The very first Andrew Murray book I read was  "Humility".  He takes you down, down, down through your pride--you just never realized where man stands on his own.  Thank You, Father.

When I'm nervous I talk. BE STILL .  Thank you for showing me that,  Father.    Being a Christian is in our heart rather than something we do.  Building our world on ungodly principles, misrepresenting God's true meanings and following self-proclaimed Christian examples turns our rock-solid foundation to styrofoam.  We will all answer to God for the decisions we make here on earth.   God doesn't schedule in idleness .  God doesn't plan for obesity . God doesn't  factor in missed, unprepared-for opportunities . Each of those is a total waste of God’s intentions, resources, plans for our lives.
